VI
Roots Eruption at the Twelfth Annual
Sierra Nevada World Music Festival
The 12th
annual Sierra Nevada World Music Festival proved to be an historic event
which saw conscious VI Reggae music step to the forefront of roots music in America. The St. Croix Roots Eruption featured
artists emanating from the U.S. Virgin Islands all sharing the same stage for nearly seven
hours. The STX lineup included Bambu
Station, Batch, Ras Attitude, Army,
Pressure, Iba, The Zioniers and a guest
appearance by Bobo Ites. The
celebration was capped off with a momentous finale in which all the VI artists came on stage
and joined hands in a show of unity for the love of their country, for the love of their
music, for the love those in attendance, and for the love of HIM Rastafari.
